Professional Liability Insurance

As a CFA (NEA) member, you are automatically covered for ...
  1. Up to $1 million for legal costs and damages assessed for civil suits incurred in the course of employment as an educator
  2. Up to $250,000 in coverage if you are sued in an employment-related matter that involves civil rights violation.
  3. Reimbursement of attorney's fees for defense of criminal charges of up to $35,000 in an employment-related criminal matter.
  4. Up to $1,000 of bail bond premium is reimbursable.
  5. Up to $500 for personal property damage if you are assaulted on the job.

Life, Health, Medical, and Dental Insurance and Services

Through CFA's affiliates, CFA members are eligible for enrollment in several life insurance programs. Our affiliates also offer salary protection insurance, major medical insurance, a hospital indemnity plan, and pharmacy services. Contact the agencies listed below and identify yourself as a CFA member.

    • AAUP group term life, and AAUP accidental death and dismemberment Insurance. Call AAUP member benefits office (800) 424-2973 or (202) 737-5900, and identify yourself as an AAUP member. CFA/CTA group life offer members both life and salary protections plans specifically designed for educators. Call Provident Life and Accident at (800) 282-4049

    • CSEA group ordinary life, ordinary supplemental life, group term life, supplemental term life, family life insurance protection. Call the CSEA Office (800) 952-5283 and identify yourself as a member of CSEA/CFA.

Health/Medical/Dental Insurance Services

SEIU Home Mortgage & Real Estate Program
